Antivirus software for Exchange Mail servers
Hi, we are deploying our own Exchange Mail server but do not have budget for Email security devices, such as Dell Sonicwall or Barracuda. How can anyone please suggest the best AV software (license) for Exchange Mail server? we did some research and found out some options like Kaspersky , Avast , ESET, AVG but have not decided yet. Thank you.

Did you look at Untangle? Many of the components untangle uses are common linux programs for various functions, including OpenVPN, Squid, and others. Some are proprietary. But why waste the time exploring tools you have to fix up yourself? Start with Untangle and if you don't like it move on to other things. The only other tool I am aware of that's linux based is Email Filter Appliance (EFA).

But if we configure Antispam Mailbox as described in this article: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123746(v=exchg.160).aspx, I think we will run out of space someday, because we have to create a new mailbox database for spam messages:
"... Step 2: .... We recommend that you create a dedicated database for the spam quarantine mailbox. The spam quarantine mailbox should have a large database, because if the storage quota limit is reached, messages will be lost... "
Do you agree?

That server needs to have a policy setup for auto-cleanup of the spam database - surely possible. Sorry, I cannot provide a howto.
