Dynamics CRM 365 Cloud

Hi I have Dynamics CRM 365 cloud, and I want to hire someone to redesign the lead, account, form, and may add new fields in some entity.
Should I ask him to create new solution file?

My situation is I have cloud for 60 days and have on premise in 90 days. I assume I can hire someone to build the UI and entity in brand new solution in the cloud.

When the on premise is completed, then somehow I can export the solution there n continue.

Is my assumption working ok ? If yes, how can I do that?
Yes that is correct, have the consultant create a solution. Add the components (such as new forms and fields) that are customized to the solution and when finished, export the solution. This creates a zip file which should be given to you. You will import the solution in your on premise system to apply the customizations.
Sound good. The consultant won't add any new form but just use existing lead forms that built by ms crm.

And of course add fields there.

And at last, when I got zip file, how can I import to crm?
You import the solution file in CRM, at Settings, Customization, Solutions.

Make sure you are given an unmanaged solution file.
What is unmanaged sol means to us?
There are two types of solutions, managed and unmanaged. A discussion on the difference is way too big for this question. However, generally managed solutions are used by ISV who make add-ons for CRM. Everyone else should use unmanaged solutions including your consultants. When your consultants exports the solutions containing your custom forms etc, he/she has a choice on whether to export as managed or unmanaged, he/she should select unmanaged.
