How to change desktop icon font style/size with Windows 10 Creator Update

The Creator Update for Windows 10 just installed on my computer. It altered my desktop settings. The font on the icons is different, smaller, and regular rather than bold.

It seems the easy-to-access panels for these adjustments within Settings are gone.

I am looking for suggestions on how to edit these settings, either in the registry or with an app that tweaks these settings.

Thanks,
Pete

Thanks. I had noticed that. It seems to scale everything including overall window size, which has positive and negative aspects. I had it on 125%. Going to 150% makes things too big. (I have a 30" 2560x1600 monitor.) I looked at the custom scaling - it has ominous-sounding warnings that some apps may not support a particular value and it may be difficult to return to previous settings.

Do you have any experience with how well or poorly custom scaling works? I am thinking 130% or 135% might give me a good result.

I've also seen mention on other website of a winaero app to adjust display settings. Any familiarity with it?

Are there any registry settings that might allow use of bold fonts? I find bolding really helps with visibility of the icon labels.

Thanks,
Pete
150% is too large (for me), and 125% works really well. I am using that now. Scaling and appearance is crisp and excellent).

You can try another scale size to see.

I have not seen a single registry that can bold everything that is scaled. You can look for a single application you want bold and check that.
Thanks, John. I was hoping for a more-tunable approach although I am now using 150%. I tried an intermediate zoom - 130% - and it immediately started messing up the desktop icons.

I may try the winaero app one of these days.
Thanks for the update and I was happy to help.
