Hi all, can someone advise where I can get up to date / urgent news on security fixes from microsoft - best sites they would use

I noticed the link below providing an update to the wannacry patch for xp and 2003. However how would I even come to known about this fix from microsfoft in a simple direct way. Is there a 32bit patch

http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4012598&ranMID=24542&ranEAID=TnL5HPStwNw&ranSiteID=TnL5HPStwNw-_h.EhlFCoDVbSyKdrmIoAw&tduid=(4deda218c5dceb4cdee09ce62acb32e4)(256380)(2459594)(TnL5HPStwNw-_h.EhlFCoDVbSyKdrmIoAw)()

Also please can someone clarify when Microsoft will stop providing support for server 2008 std - was it 2015 or will it be 2020 - again no clear information but the usual hieroglyphics - maybe its just me :-(

thanks!

MS has a search to lifecycle of the product
E.g. Check out Windows Server 2008 Standard suite in specific  at the bottom of the page
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/search?alpha=2008
