Programmable Firewall Router?

We have an Exchange 2007 mail server. In order to try and stem the deluge of Junk/malicious emails we are now getting, I have written an VB program to suck the SMTP logs into a database which I can then analyse. I am then manually adding undesirable IP addresses/ranges into the Exchange Server IP Block list. It would be better if I could poke them into a Firewall Router of some description. Our current router only stores about 50 IP addresses. So it is not for useful in this regard, and  it has to be done manually anyway.

Does anyone know of a router/firewall that i can write to directly from my VB program, in order to supply it with IP Addresses to block?

Personally I would invest in an online Email filtering provider and have the emails screened before they hit your server.

I can recommend Proofpoint as an Email filtering provider.

Thanks Andy. I'll check that out.

@David: Thanks for the suggestion, but because I've put a lot of effort into setting up my vb mail analyser program, I want to get something which it can talk to directly.
