Can't get my gmail account to work in Outlook 2007

I have previously set up one gmail account in Outlook. I am trying to add another account. I am following the instructions at this site http://pop2imap.com/gmail-outlook-2007.php. The settings seem to be the same as for the working one. When I try it, a pop up comes up with the username and asks for a password which it doesn't accept.

I am not using 2 step verification.

If you're not using 2-step authentication, make sure that the account is properly set for POP along with the setting for "less secure apps". Version of Outlook has no bearing since it's the same for all.
