Yeah, unfortunately, it's either chromecast or apple TV, neither are cheap but that's pretty much the only option at this point.<br />

Even if you get something to turn the socket on, it's still going to put the telly in standby

Enclose the TVs in a lockable case. &nbsp;Provide limited access to them. &nbsp;Mount an IR blaster into the wall or ceiling that you can then use to remotely turn them on (this would require a bit of creativity - I don't know of any specific solution for this, but in theory it should work.
