Capturing LPT1 output XP
We have an old accounting program that wants to write to a dot matrix printer and was setup to use LPT1 via a command:
net user lpt1 \\computer\printer
I want the output to go to a pdf how is this possible? Alternatively to a file

I just came up with an idea. You could download a program like CutePDF, share the printer so you have it as.. let's say LPT2. Then have your program print to that instead. They key is you might need to set the PDF printer to NOT prompt you for a file name.

Thank you masnrock, I tried that and it did not like it it wants something that will accept the raw ascii text not a print page / context to write to. Maybe there is a way of outputting to file you can think of?
This isn't free, but here's a product you could try: http://www.printfil.com/en glish.htm

Thanks but while I don't mind paying a bit that is a fair bit more that I would like to pay.

Ideal would have been a free solution but this looks to me worth the money.
