another domain controller shut down question
We have a production DC\DNS that we are going to be shutting down. We are going from 2008 to 2012 server. We plan to do a temporary power off until we make sure there are no dependencies on it. We have already removed all static IP's pointing to that server and verified this with the logs.
I want to manually delete it from the site in "AD sites and services". I want to make sure no machines try to use that DC for authentication, etc. Anybody think this is a bad idea?
