Windows7 without Drivers fresh install
Hello,
I've purchased a new laptop (Lenovo 310-15ikb) without DOS.
I've installed a fresh copy of Windows7 and i dont see any drivers are installed. USB is also not detecting, no LAN drivers, no wireless drivers are installed. I don't have an option to install drivers also to my laptop.
i'm not sure how do i install the drivers to new laptop as it wont allow me to connect usb also.
need your help.

I assume you installed the fresh copy of W7 using the CD/DVD media. Then you will have to download and burn the needed drivers onto a CD/DVD media using another computer then use it to install the drivers from there.

How did you install Windows 7 to the laptop ..... via optical drive?
Microsoft is phasing out Windows 7 and new machines are made to run Windows 10 only. Restore it to Windows 10, install VMware Workstation and make Windows 7 a guest machine. I do that.

Hi Wayne,
yeah i just did it but the drivers seems to be not working. I have downloaded them from the website, burn into a dvd and pushed it to the lenovo laptop. Drivers are not working it says this drivers are not supported with this version of windows. :-(

Hi Nelson, did you install the 64-bit version of Windows 7 because I only see 64-bit drivers? If unsure, right click on My Computer/Computer then see the Properties.

Initially i was trying to install via USB but it was not allowing me to do as i was getting USB driver error issue. Then install from CD/DVD worked for me.
I understood that John, but thing is, we have few application that supports windows 7 only so we would require it at any cost as it will take some time for us to migrate things here.

Also, could you please suggest any good website where i can download windows 10 from?
You need to look at the manufacturer's support website for each hardware item needing a driver. USB is built in so there will be limits there
Hi Nelson, these days most manufacturer expect you to burn your own recovery media when first bought. I know you have already reformatted your hard drive so chances are you erased the recovery partition.
Based on your system serial number, you may be eligible to order one-time no-charge recovery media: https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht035659
Otherwise you may have to purchase the recovery media from Lenovo.
