Mac HD encrypted want to unlock with windows

I have a Macbook Pro its a year old its having boot issues when I boot to start up disk and select the start up disk (only one listed local HD) I click unlock and put in the password in and it just goes back to the screen where I select the drive and if I click unlock again the password dialog doesnt come back up it flashes really fast but I cant access it. When I put in the incorrect password it goes back to the select disk and when I click unlock the "enter password popup comes up and I can enter a password again.

I have pulled the HD from the mac and connected it to a windows 7 box and as expected the drive is detected but no drive letters assigned and I can do anything with them in disk managment. Is there a utility that I can use to decrypt a Mac HD on a Windows box. My research said no but I thought would run it by the experts..

Thanks in advance

The person who owns the mac is 100% it is the correct password and I tend to agree because of how it acts when I put in the "correct" password compared to what it does when I put in a different password.. Im starting to wonder if the encryption is the root of all the issues its having

So I was able to track down another macpro to try and slave the HD off of and when I put in the password it accepts it but it states "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer. Is there more steps to do with the encryption or is the hard drive more than likely shot.

Unfortunately I only had the Mac (the one that worked) to test with for a little while. They setup encryption when the initially setup the Mac . Because I don't have a Mac to test with I'm kind of stuck, guess I will have to bring it back to best buy which kills me. I should have bought her a PC for college instead..  Thanks for the suggestions
