Using Chromebook for remote access
We use Fortinet in our organization. Our typical setup to allow a user to remote in is to install Forticlient on a laptop with remote desktop and then have them connect. We purchased a Chromebook as a test to see if we could use these for people who want to remote in as they're cheaper than a laptop.
However, the issues we're having is setting up the VPN on the Chromebook as we can't use Forinet because it's only available if you're using the management console and have quite a few Chromebooks on your domain.
Has anyone had any success using Chromebooks for a remote access and if so, can you share in detail how you got it to work?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks
Scott

ASKER
Thanks. The Remote Desktop app is blocked by our Group Policy from install. Fortinet has nothing available for Chromebooks. They have an app for Chrome but nothing specifically for Chromebooks.

Here are some instructions for using a Chromebook via VPN: link
I've never heard of Fortinet but it seems likely that they would have a Chromebook compatible solution.
