unable to isntall .net framework 3.5
hi experts,
i'm installing great plains on one computer and I need to install .net framework 3.5 but when I try to install that i'm unable to do so.
error: Windows couldn't find required files to complete the requested changes. make sure your connected to the internet, and try again.
error code: 0X800F081F.
I do have internet connection.

hi guys, tried all suggestions i'm still getting same results
if you go into control panel and get into the turn on/off windows features is the 3.5 framework available there? if so you should be able to just enable it.

There may be something wrong with the OS.
Try an SFC /scannow and see if that fixes anything.
Another thing to consider, is to backup the data, wipe the computer and do a clean install.

is it possible to reimage the machine? what exactly are you needing from the 3.5 installation?

can you launch the executable with logging? setup.exe /v"/L*V loginstall.txt".
where 'setup' is the name of the executable and then run from command line. the .txt file will be created where the executable is ran from. and then post log for review.

what do you have there

also run it as admin / disable uac

just to be thorough have you done 'run as admin'?

yes i'm logged in as admin
i mean right click on the install and select run as admin.
