MSCS Cluster ignoring route add
We have a 2 node 2012R2 cluster at site A. Cluster was built and is functioning properly. We recently added a non cluster NIC whose sole purpose is to send traffic to a specific subnet at site B across a site to site VPN. No gateway on the non cluster NIC.
We added a Windows routing statement route add -p xxx.xxx.xx.xx mask xxx.xxx.xx.xxx. <Gateway> if <interface number of new non cluster nic>
The problem is that Windows is ignoring the route add statement and sending the traffic over the cluster interface. We have this same configuration in a Windows 2008 R2 cluster and it works properly. Non clustered machines work as expected by routing the specific traffic out the specified interface.
Any ideas?
