Cant ping or use outlook

Hi all,

I had Sophos EndPoint installed on my computer, i uninstalled it and installed Symantec EndPoint. Now on outlook it shows disconnected, I cant ping any computer on domain, but i am getting the right IP address. I uninstalled SEP, nothing changed, i took the computer off domain, put on it on workgroup, and then put it back on Domain, still nothing changed.

Anyone else has experienced it? or know how to fix it?
thanks.

In a machine the only used and uses Symantec Endpoint, it does not block email.

Uninstall SEP, open (explode) the SEP install EXE file to a folder. Exit before it tries to install. Then find the tools folder in the location you exploded to. Run the clean wipe tool to completely uninstall SEP.

Restart the computer.

Now find the comparable cleanup tool for Sophos and make sure it is totally uninstalled.

Restart and install SEP. Test.
Is there a shot that somehow Sophos Tamper Protection may have gotten set off while removing Sophos?

Resetting  TCP/IP stack and Winsock has worked :-)

I used Revo uninstaller Pro to uninstall sophos and SEP, now i dont have any AV on the computer, i am going to put SEP back, i have seen SEP installs its on firewall along with EndPoint. Any exceptions i have to define on SEP firewall AV?

Also any ideas guys why it happened?

thanks
Sophos probably did not uninstall properly. That is most likely what caused the issue.
Different AV products will sometimes corrupt the TCP/IP stack because of the way they scan network data flows. There is also a chance, but does not tend to happen the most frequently.
I use CCleaner to uninstall things like these and then have it clear out the registry for the unwanted you may want to try that and also uninstall Norton as well and after a registry clean reinstall Norton and see what happens
