Office 365 with Office 2010

We purchased a new computer which came with one free year of Office 365.  (We see Word 2016 and Excel 2016 on the computer but not Outlook).  We have an old computer with Office 2010 and would like to transfer the Office 2010 to the new computer while still keeping a copy of Office 365 somewhere in case we would like to use it at a later point.  How would we do this?
Thank you

Office 365's Office suite runs using a user name and password to authenticate against the Office 365 servers to retrieve licensing validity. When you purchased the computer or set up the Office 365 suite, you should have either received or created a username and password to use for this purpose. Once you have that info, you can install Office 365 on any other system at any time during the license validity time after uninstalling it on the original computer. However, please note that if there is no Username and Password that you were given or created for that license, then it is likely designed to be licensed only on that one computer. If that's the case, it likely can't be legally transferred to a new system.

Edit: Read the terms of use for the subscription you received if you can find it. That will let you know if it is a transferable license.

Legal note: Answers on EE are not binding in regards to software licensing. Only MS licensing representatives are properly trained to answer these questions, and all I can do is provide you with my best guess based on my personal experiences.
As long as you uninstall it from the old computer you call move Office 2010 to another computer. In my own experience you should be able to start using the Office 365 whenever you want, but check the details on the offer.

I've discovered that Office 365 is subscription based and I don't want to pay for it forever. Even if I wanted to keep 365 for a while, i couldn't run it with an MSI installer version at the same time so I won't try. I will purchase the latest version that is non subscription and use that.
