Problem with Windows Server Essentials 2016 Configuration Assistant
Hello,
I have a brand new server essentials 2016.
After initial setup, I just joined an existing domain with SBS 2008 (the goal is to remove this server).
After domain was joined and server rebooted, the Configuration Assistant asks for domain admin credentials then starts preparing the server but stops very quickly with error (translated from French):
"Problems occured during configuration" - "Reboot the server and reexecute the Configuration Assistant. If problem persists, check the help links to discover other resolution steps".
Of course rebooting and the help links do not help.
FYI the domain admin user account used is domain admins, enterprise admins, schema admins groups member.
I thank you very much if you can help me solving this issue.

Agreed but unfortunately sometimes updates are needed for the server to work properly when other servers are involved.
Did that work?
Questioner has not come back to the question so I assume the provided solution must have worked.

Thanks for your comment. It is a physical server but I could simply reinstall it.
I will try doing that and updating before joining the domain but it is a shame that it just doesn't work out of the box...
The final goal is to remove the old SBS 2008 and keep same users and computers on the Windows Essentials 2016.
