I use php on my windows server. The only thing I can think of that I installed outside of php is http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php only because I was using some of the advanced features.  Start with your use cases, then determine if you need anything additional, not the other way around.

Thanks guys for the reply,
I will not be doing any coding in PHP. Ray, you may remember me from about a year ago. You wrote a Bible verse conversion program for me and put the code up at this link http://iconoun.com/mhoggatt/. I have used that link over the last year BUT I also have been using the code you sent me on my local computer.
After seven years my hard drive went south and I have had a new one installed. I don't remember everything I did to get PHP up and running but I remember some. Actually I think all I need is PHP 7.1.5 AND iis 7 to run your program. Because I can't see very well I like to use programs I am familiar with which in this case is the web platform installer.
If I download and install these two items will that be enough to run your code?
Does the web platform installer set up the default website or will I need to do that? This will get me started and then I may have a few more questions.
Thank you very much,

Michael hOGGATT
The installer has a wizard that allows you to select what items  you want installed.

A tip I hope will help, use dropbox, google drive or microsoft one drive for your development area. Doing so does two things. 1) If your hard drive fails, it's all online and can be easily synced when you install a new HD.   2) If you have an oops moment, you get back up copies for every version.  I use dropbox myself and everytime there is a "save" dropbox creates a version you can retrieve. My IDE autosaves so I have hundreds of versions of every file.
Hey, Michael.  You can probably still use my web site.  I have no reason to take it down ;-)
sCOTT, THAT IS A GREAT IDEA. i'LL HAVE TO LOOK INTO THAT.

aND rAY, I'm GLAD TO KEEP USING YOUR SITE, BUT AS YOU SAID A YEAR AGO, "wHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I GET RUN OVER BY A CHICKEN TRUCK". sO I NEED TO GET THINGS UP AND RUNNING HERE JUST IN CASE !

tHAT WILL DO ME FOR NOW. i'LL GIVE OUT THE POINTS TOMORROW.

Michael
Ray, Which one of the bitnami selections would you advise me to use in order to run your code ? Looks like that might be the way for me to go.

Michael
Bingo ! PHP is now installed and running fine.
Thanks for the help,

Michael
