SBS 2011 stop using exchange - move to hosted - outlook client only points to exchange server
We have an SBS 2011 server and have been using exchange for years. Have moved to a cloud based hosted solution and need to add an outlook profile pointing to that - if I try to add a profile it defaults to the in house exchange server and doesn't give me an exchange option - only office 365 or pop/imap. I have stopped the exchange services - that hasn't helped. If found this: http://kirb.it/enable-office-365-auto-discover-for-outlook-in-sbs-2011-exchange-environments/ taking about office 365 - if I run this command will it enable me to set up a profile in outlook with an externally hosted exchange server?
First check, if you have any .prf file in your outlook program files folder. If yes, open in notepad and check, if server is hard-coded.

I have followed through the exchange management shell command to remove the AutoDiscover Virtual Directory and it processed OK. I don't need to use autodiscover - I can set up the hosted exchange manually. However, after doing this and stopping the exchange services when I launch mail and set up a new profile - I then select manually configure and I still have no option for exchange - only office365, pop/imap and fax

All exchange services stopped. Added CNAME to public DNS and to SBS 2011 DNS. Set client reg entry ExcludeScpLookup entry to 1 and all working now. Many thanks
