Newbie - question about twitter on IOS
I was having twitter forward tweets to my cell phone as SMS messages. I signed up for loads of news sites and got a message about 200 messages / day limit...
Then I got the twitter app for IOS and was getting the messages on my lock screen from both twitter and messages. I turned off forward messages to phone.
Then in last couple days, I stopped getting any tweets.
was there an update in ios twitter account? I went into the twitter app and see a bell with check icon. (was it there before) checked that and a window labeled account notificiations was set to none. I changed that to all tweets now I get the tweets twice.
how do I only get tweets from only the ios app and showing up on the lock screen on the iphone?

that will turn off twitter notifications? I'd want those and stop the messages from going through sms / maxing out that 200 message / day limit that Verizon has.
I guess if I go to website and take out my phone number for mobile notifications that might work vs. trying to stop it from in the ios app?
