Who would you trust a statement from more Comey or Trump?
If I had to take a statement from each , based on the logical known history of the two of them who statistically would be more likely to speak the truth?

Comey's incredible distortion of the basic law of protecting secret information that it is only illegal to not protect it if that was the intent is a clear distortion and dismissal of basic law. He can't be trusted at all.
As it is now considered acceptable, and even a Washington tradition, to lie through your teeth anywhere, at any time ... no matter who's sitting before Congress, I'd take anything said with a grain of salt even if obtained through enhanced interrogation.

so you may think with the history of both of them you should come to the conclusion that comey has little incentive to lie.
so regardless of your politics , I think we can all agree that Comeys word is far better than trumps on anything .

It doesn't pay to get involved in any political discussion as many of the participants are strongly biased and selection of the answer depends on the bias

What do you base the statement that Comey has a better record in telling the truth on?
given the fact that he has worked with both democratic and republican presidents and hasn't had many, if any, major scandals and that they kept him around tells me they trusted him. Plus, do a basic "james comey fact check" google search yields a lot of positive results when it comes to honesty.
whenever i hear trump talk in his speeches, i usually take it with a grain of salt until i can later verify it. and when i do, it's rarely truthful. Apparently others find this as well, given all of the different fact checkers out there. They seem to all agree that he is not a truthful president. I'm not just talking about cnn, msnbc, and all of the big news networks, but rather independent non-partisan organizations.
he even admits (eventually) when he lies, remember the whole claim of wiretapping by obama, then later backed off of it? what about "No administration has accomplished more in the first 90 days."? simply not true, and its easy to verify. and this: "109 people out of hundreds of thousands of travelers" were affected by the immigration executive order. it was actually over 60k people.
my point is, there are countless examples of him flat out lying which are easily verifiable by multiple sources. I have not found the same with comey, thus my pick is comey is the more honest person...

agreed , the shear amount of lies is noticeable . I dont think there is any bias saying Trump is consistently and repetitively lying .
