Sharing large files both internally and outside the office
I have a potential new client that needs help. They currently have 3TB of data stored on Dropbox. They are a design firm and the files are fairly large, between 800MB and 1GB per file. Since their desktop computers do not have space to store all 3TB of data, they use selective sync and/or visit the Dropbox website and download the file the need. They are spending too much time waiting for files to upload/download and are asking me for a better solution. One option is to install a NAS with a gigabit switch. This solution will help with when working from within the office but how about when someone wants to work from outside the office?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

inside the office is not a problem.. probably should have been using a network share in the first place. Depending upon the environment sharepoint or work folders would seem to be a reasonable replacement /addition to dropbox. External users are kind of stuck with slow transfers though. (they could use offline files but this doesn't help for the initial download)
NAS, LINUX FILE SERVER or NETWORK SHARE---- I would run a Linux file server or NAS----preferably Linux---for outside workers Let them remote in via VPN to access the share.
We use ShareFile from Citrix. It works really well and is secure.
