database does not exist in Crystal Reports

Hi. I created an ODBC connection on my crystal reports server, which is also a SQL-Express server, to a database on a different SQL server on my network.  The connection tested successful in DSN config.  I created a new report in Crystal Reports though and my new connection wasn't visible in the ODBC connection type.  Both servers are running SQL 2012.  What am I missing?  Should I use OLE DB connection instead of ODBC?  I do have roughly 10 or 12 other local ODBC connections setup on my crystal server for reporting purposes if that makes any difference.  Crystal version is developer edition 11.5.  thanks

Huseyin,  that was the fix.  thanks for the help.  I split the points - hope that's ok..
mlmcc, thanks for the added advice on that.  that explanation on when to use 64-bit vs. 32-bit will be handy.
