Remote Access to another PC - Windows 7 & Windows 10

I need remote access to two computers in my home office for about a month.  I will be traveling with a laptop (Windows 10) and need to remote into the two PCs back in my home location (both of these PCs are Windows 7).  What would be the best method (and most reliable/secure) for me to be able to connect to these two computers.  Your help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Thank you for your response.  Question about Teamviewer - can it be setup where no one has to be at the host computer in order to accept the connection?  I thought Teamviewer was used for someone to connect to another user for remote support - so someone had to be at the other computer to accept the connection.

You still need a way to access the PC after you set up VPN, though.

Thank you to all for your assistance.  I will test out Teamviewer to see if that will work for me as it sounds like the easiest to setup.  Thank you all again for your help!
And, if you need to be sure to reach the home computer, I'd set the power settings in the BIOS/UEFI to turn on in case of a power failure - in addition to always on in the Windows power settings.
I agree that something like Teamviewer is likely the best approach.  It's much less complicated to set up.
