Hyper-V Guests and Antivirus
Hello,
I have a Windows Server 2016 Standard running Hyper-V Role with four VM’s installed.
I have read a lot about not putting Antivirus on the host machine for all sorts of reasons and it’s isolated and rarely gets logged into and only by me. I don’t do any browsing or downloading on it. After the horror stories, I’ve decided to leave it Antivirus free.
The Guests are a different matter, I have four licenses of ESET File Security and just want to confirm I should install this Antivirus within the guest OS’s
The VM’s are backed up regularly on and off site by Altaro VM Backup software.
Your thoughts are welcomed…
Thanks
Dave
