Hi,
We currently have a Windows 2003 / 2008 Domain as we are currently migrating to Exchange 2013 from Exchange 2003. Â After this
we will be migrating over to the Windows 2012 Domain.
Its currently setup as a single forest / with 2 domains with approx. 600 users. For example OldDomainA.com (Win2003) and NewDomainA.com (Windows 2012) with Quest tools acting in the middle.
We have recently purchased a new company that has different user names, shares, policies etc. For example NewCompanyA.com
this will be connected via MPLS.
They need access to the resources on the existing domains but the naming convention, shares etc. cannot be changed.
Just wanted to get some advice on the best approach i.e. Domain, Sub-Domain etc.

Thank you for your reply.
One option I have just been given is to set them up on new equipment and then migrate them over as their current domain name is not
relevant to the re-branding they did 10 years ago.
So
Would you create a sub-domain for example newcompany.ourdomin.com or setup a new domain in the current forest etc or something completely different ?
