Visual Studio 2015 Uninstall Issue
Hello Experts,
I have VS 2010 and 2015 community, and enterprise preview installed on a machine. I want to uninstall all versions of 2015 and keep the VS 2010 version installed. However for the past 2 days the uninstall for 2015 has been running and has yet to conclude a successful uninstall, which means there has to be an issue that MS has not resolved with this version of VS. With that being said, does anyone know of a utlitity or tool that will completely and quickly uninstall 2015 and leave the VS 2010 version intact? Please advise, as there has to be a better and more reliable way to uninstall 2015. Thanks in advance.

Yes. The older version may have had some files replaced by the newer version. So uninstall both.

Hello Saige,
I pressed Alt-Tab, and no dialogs are open and the uninstall is still at the same status as before, but thanks for your input as you are correct it certainly could have been a window open waiting for a response.

Hello All,
I would like to update everyone and let you know I finally uninstalled all versions of 2015 successfully. As it turns out MS has a .NET repair tool, and after running that it repaired the apparent issues with the .NET Framework. Anyway after executing it, and a reboot all uninstalls completed in about 10 minutes. Very strange but true, as I never would have thought this was the root cause of the issue. As I appreciate everyone's feedback and suggestions I am awarding points to all, and want to thank you for your assistance.

So you mean that I have to uninstall all versions of VS in order to get rid of 2015? If that solves the issue I will do so, but MS should be ashamed of themselves for releasing such a bad product. Uninstall should be independent and not require this much work. Thanks for your viewpoint.
