Relay email from a phone server
I have a phone server that needs to send email out. I setup a receive connector on our Exchange server 2013 on the same subnet as an application relay choice and setup the scope at the top with the phone server IP and the bottom is all IPv4 and port 25. Security is Permission group, anonymous users. However, we are getting an error message: status=bounced (host 192.168.xxx.xxx said: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay (in reply to RCPT TO command)). What am I missing?
Your error sounds like it is related to authentication, where you're wanting to send emails without authentication (anonymous). Here is a good article: https://www.petenetlive.co m/KB/Artic le/0000891
However, I am betting there is far more to it than what you're telling us. For example, which phone server is it and how is the phone server communicating with the Exchange server? The form of communication between the two is just as important as having the connector set up correctly. (Better to check and verify everything than be sorry later)

On that connector, you did not allow the ip/ip segment to relay. It sounds as though the connector will only accept a message from that voice system when it is addressed to a recipient on the domain for which the exchange is setup.
