About Microsoft Exchange Server Configuration

Hi All Expert,

Good Day.

I would like to check how can I check on my Microsoft Exchange Server? I used to use configure outlook using pop3 or imap but for exchange, I don't have the knowledge, I try using mail.companyname.com for the Microsoft Exchange Server which works for pop3 and imap but couldn't work for Microsoft Exchange in Outlook 2010. The reason I wanted to use Microsoft Exchange is that it can sync calendar and contact with device like Android and iPhone. Sorry for my noob question, appreciate if any expert can advise me on.

Hi,

Firtsly which Exchange Server do you have? You need to configure all the settings related Exchange Server.

Do you have an external certificate? You need to check which certificates you have.

You can follow this to configure outlook2010.
https://support.rackspace.com/how-to/manually-configure-outlook-2010-for-email-hosted-on-exchange-2010/
For testing try to open OWA https://mail.companyname.com/owa and https://autodiscover.companyname.com/owa and check for any certificate errors in browser.
If no errors please post the error when you configure Exchange in outlook2010.

Hi Expert,

Thank you for reverting back.

Anyway to check on the certificates? My company just took over a company and nothing was given and my boss just throw it to me, I try opening https://mail.companyname.com/owa and https://autodiscover.companyname.com/owa getting ERR_CONNECTION_RESET, I guess they have the certificate because one of the users said her iphone configure exchange calendar before. Sorry I am new to this line, appreciate if any expert can advise me on.
