How to configure etherchannel

I have cisco 3650 and 3560G connected one to one port as trunk. Ports are gig1/1/1 to g0/1

What is the recommended etherchannel configuration from port gig1/1/1, gig 1/1/2 to g0/1, g0/2?

ASKER

why 3650 mode active and 3560G mode passive? Any specific advantage? Can we do both mode active? what is more recommended?
You can configure both sides as active, as long as both sides are not passive etherchannel will be OK. Active on one side and passive on the other side is recommended configuration. Etherchannel negotiation process is a little faster when sides are configured as active - passive.
Ok. So I have 3650 as the core switch(MDF) and 4 other as 3560G (IDF) connected to the core switch as trunk. So I have use the same active-passive configuration for MDF(active) & IDF(passive), correct?
Yes.
I would recommend you to check 3650 and 3560G Caveats regarding etherchannel (there were some problems with etherchannel in some IOS versions on some models).
3650 Caveats
3560 Caveats
My goal is to achieve more bandwidth. With this will I be able to get 2Gpbs as both the ports are 1gbE?
