Outlook 2016 Address Book not searching correctly
Ok so when a user opens his contacts folder the instant search works great it looks at all the data and returns the right contacts. However if he is in a new email and opens his address book, selects "more columns" and searches it doesn't work. Attached are a couple of screenshots. Outlook is being indexed, and the status is 0 items remaining.

Try searching for something other than a name, in this case it was part of their email.
I see your point. The issue seems to be with finding more columns (before searching in it). I cannot find how to make More Columns work going all the back to Outlook 2010.
I will look a while longer.
I will look a while longer.
I found the following in Outlook Help on More Columns
"Note: You might be tempted to use the Search People box, which is in the top-right corner on the Home tab. That works, but only if you type the person’s name (or part of their name). You can’t use this box, however, to search for things like phone numbers or addresses."
I think this affects search the way we are trying to use it above.

Weird so how would you initiate an email to say everyone with a certain email address. I tried just using contacts, CNTRL+selecting them, but then when I go to new email it doesn't work.

Guess the only way would be to drop them into a group, then send to that.
Yes, that should work.

well I guess that the best we can hope for.
Thanks and good luck and I will keep looking for a while as well.
Try two things:
1. Repair Office (Full Repair) from Control Panel, Programs and Features.
2. If that does not work, set up a new, test Windows User Profile (Account). Log into the new Windows Account, set up Outlook and test.
