GPO wifi settings not applying correctly to new Win10 clients
Hi
As above (we think). Since migration from 7 to 10 Win OS, machines are not automatically connecting to either of the two wifi APs we have in GPO.
Current settings attached.
Ideas?
Thanks

Yes, You can usually place these new templates into the sysvol/polcies folder and they replicate between your DC's.

Was that a typo McKnife? I get errors.
We have already deployed windows 10 admx and adml files to the DC. I've just copied the creators ones across.
It looks like the existing settings are valid for the GPO, see attached.
Am i missing something?

Sorry was running it in PS not cmd..
Not sure if im confusing you all. The GPOs are applying but the machines are requesting the PW every time rather than saving it and connecting automatically..

I wouldn't have a doubt about the templates since those policies are the same for 7 or 10 anyway.
Take a clean test machine with win10, set that policy locally and see whether it works.

Ok, so disabling the GPO, and the machine remembers the AP.
From my attachment is the GPO settings valid?

Unable to test this further as no spare machines with wirless card in. I have tried a basic copy of the existing polict with much options removed from the GPO, ssame issue.
Its clear to me that there is an issue with GPO or Win10 1607 and 1703.

I'd take a laptop, put in a new drive and test. Then install win10 to go on a USB stick and test on the same machine. After that, I would conclude.
Could you solve it?

Not yet. Will test and update here.

Ditched existing GPO WIFI.
Exported WIFI profiles as xml files.
Created batch file to import xmls.
Created GPO to copy xml files from UNC to local c:\
Created GPO for scheduled task to run at logon to call the batch file.
