Office 365 archive mailbox

I want to activate the archive feature on my Office 365 account. By default Office 365 will archive everything older than 2 years. I don't want this option, I want to archive manually. I have disable every rule I can think of, but when enabling the archive option, I still get the message Office 365 will auto archive after 2 years.

Is this for email or all O365 apps?

If for email look in the Exchange admin portal under Compliance Management / Retention Policy or Retention Tags. You may need to create tags/policy to fit your desired length of time and then assign them to the mailboxes under mailbox features.

If for all O365 apps look at the Security and Compliance admin center under Retention policies

Hello,

You can enable archive the Office 365 mailbox manually in two ways, first by using EAC i.e. Exchange Admin Centre and the other is by using PowerShell commands.
