I was looking at WordPress. Never used WordPress before. Looking at the Business plan. Is the plan $24.92/monthly or 1 payment of $24.92 for 1 year?
I would like to create a blog Unlimited Storage Space to add videos etc. Kind of like worldstarhiphop
Is there a FREE service somewhere else that supports Unlimited Storage Space? Is there a WordPress alternative that has the features of the Business plan that's free?

I do use Webafrica. I also use Hetzner. Both are very good. When you buy hosting, they have a cpanel that you can use to install Wordpress on your share of the hosting. So the installation is automated (you need to click the buttons though to run the wizard). You can install Wordpress on your local machine, but this would then not be visible to the Internet. But it is nice if you want to fiddle with the theme or do some dev work on your site before uploading it manually to the server.
What I suggest is this.... get a free Wordpress account (https://wordpress.com/pricing/), just to get the hang of using it. Then look in to hosting your own Wordpress site at a hosting company. Some hosting companies will also assist you with the installation of Wordpress (some might ask a small fee) and the setting up of your domain name of your site.

With the free wordpress I see that I would get a WordPress.com Subdomain. If I create a website using the free wordpress and decide to use Webafrica or Hetzner, does the WordPress.com Subdomain disappear?
Yes. So if you have a subdomain of myvideo.wordpress.com, and you move to a hosting company, you will need to buy a domain name. Many hosting companies throw in the first year of the domain name for free. So look for a nice domain name first, and then when you sign up for the hosting, just ask for that domain name to be registered.
Alternatively, you can buy the domain name (it's a good idea to buy it from the company you want to host from) before buying hosting. Then, when you are ready to host, you just tell them that you already own a domain name. They then just update the DNS records of your purchased domain name, to point to your website IP. If you buy the domain name from a different company than you will be hosting at, you will first need to have that domain name transferred to the hosting company. Otherwise, you can leave the domain name where you bought it, and just change the domain name DNS records to look at the hosting company's IP address for your site.

Could I use Google Cloud Platform? I read that I could use Google Drive but I don't know if this is what it wasn't meant for?

Your video site will definitely need a lot of bandwidth and wouldn't be fast on mediocre servers. So you will need to choose your hosting platform carefully.

How does Wordpress work? It comes as a standalone application I can install on to my computer?
