Cannot Access Filemaker Pro 6 files after converting to Filemaker 8 or 11

User has Filemaker Pro 6 Files that they opened with FileMaker Pro 8 and converted to latest format.  The problem is that these new files now ask for a user name and password, whereas before they only asked for a password for access.

What is the 'trick' for opening these upgraded files?

Thanks

Most likely FileMaker created a default password for the files as it does with any new file. The user name is "Admin", the password is blank.

Once you have the files open go to Manage Security and add whatever user accounts, passwords and privilege sets that you might need.

ASKER

This may be so for a new file, but the converted file doesn't accept this user-password combination.
