Cat 6A cable too thick.
I suspect I bought the wrong thing and I need advise on how to do this right.
My network is a mixture of Cat 5 and Cat 5e cable connecting student and teacher workstations. As we move into the future, I thought this would be limiting our data flow.
I bought 1000 feet of Cat 6a solid core shielded wire. It is twice the thickness of the cat 5e and clearly will not fit my normal RJ 45 jacks.
Can I use what I purchased somehow?
If not, what do I need to get?
Should I just stick with the Cat 5e that I have?
Thank you.

Worst case scenario, you may need to acquire some jacks that will fit your CAT6A cabling. Your problem sounds more like the shielding than the fact it is CAT6A.
I bet masnrock is right on this one. Normal network cable is unshielded.
Shielding of network cable is necessary only in electrically noisy environments; as an example, I saw normal Cat5 cable in an aluminum smelter where switching 100,000 amps of DC happened regularly and the magnetic field was so high that CRTs displayed sideways.

I agree I need the right RJ45 jack, but I want to make sure I am purchasing the right one.
I bought this from NewEgg: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6P85K31027
I found this on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-50-Pack-Shielded-Modular/dp/B00E4OCOUW/ref=pd_bxgy_147_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00E4OCOUW&pd_rd_r=1HAZPE2EN64ASSQXAVXK&pd_rd_w=tbrsF&pd_rd_wg=YnKDw&psc=1&refRID=1HAZPE2EN64ASSQXAVXK
It looks like it should work. Can anyone confirm or provide a better and/or cheaper alternative?
Thank you.
