Using iTunes to listen to my MP3's on my iPhone 6S

I just installed iTunes on my windows 7 pc and I'd like to copy a bunch of my MP3 files (some are podcasts, some are music MP3's) to my iPhone 6s. I don't want to copy ALL of my MP3's just some.
Can someone recommend a YouTube video or instructions.  the UI of iTunes is not really intuitive for what I'm trying to do.
Or maybe I'm just not getting the logic of it.

Hi Paul:
Thanks for the excellent arrows.  Really helps.
Questions:
1.  I have some MP3's in a folder on my windows 7 PC called "summer music" and another folder called "Summer podcasts" Both contain MP3's.
That's all I want to bring onto my iPhone. What are the steps to do that?
