Outlook attachment issue

Recently I have a user that is receiving the following message when sending an email in Outlook with PDF or DOCX attachments.  "The item contains attachments that are potential unsafe. Recipients using Microsoft Outlook may not be able to open these attachments. Do you want to send anyway? [Yes] [No]"

The problem may be related to a security patch from Microsoft but I wanted to present this as a question to see if anyone has any good work around for this.

Thanks

Same problem here. Since last week. Not all users but some. I heard/saw reports that this was part of an MS security patch but can't figure out which one.

The Outlook patch in the link didn't work.   I discovered something interesting.  In testing with a sample file named SamplePDF.pdf it goes through just fine.  If you change the name to Sample.PDF.pdf it also goes through. If you rename the file to Sample..PDF.pdf (two dots in name) it is blocked in some Outlook.  One computer running Outlook 2010 it is blocked, another running Outlook 2016 it is received fine. Also in web based email it seems to be fine.  Crazy man ...
