Unable to discover Windows Home Server on one of the connected PCs

I have setup Windows Home Server with an X510 Data Vault for a desktop PC and a laptop.
There is a separate user account for each computer and the back up function works overnight as configured.

Problem:
1. The Homeserver computer shows up in Network under Computers on the laptop but not on the desktop.
2. When I attempt to Restore or View files from a backup from the desktop, the Opening backup: stalls at 79%.

Objective:
1. to be able to view Homeserver in Network under computers.
2. To be able to Restore or View files from a backup on the desktop.

Thanks,
Greg

Thanks.
I should have mentioned that I had uninstalled the WHS Connector.
And reformatted each of the HDD in the X510. These did not indicate any problems.
And reinstalled the WHS OS on the No 1 HDD in the X510.
And then reinstalled the WHS Connector software on the desktop.

The backup works on the laptop and on the desktop.

On the laptop, in Network, Homeserver appears under Computers and Media and Other Devices.
On the laptop, Restore or View files works and these can be opened.

On the the desktop in Network, it does not show the Homeserver under Computers (Homeserver does appear under Media and Other Devices).
On the desktop, Restore or view stalls at 79%.
The desktop is a Xeon E3-1241 v3,50 GHz with 16GB RAM with 211GB free on the C drive.

Could this be a firewall issue?
Panda Security is the antivirus, and Malwarebytes Premium is also running.
PS Panda Security is also the firewall. Windows firewall is turned off.
can you make another backup - and test the restore?
what backup are you using?
Thanks. The problem remains unresolved.  It is visible on the laptop but not on the desktop.

I'll simply use the laptop and ignore the problem.
ok - but leaving it as is may have later consequences - but it's your decision
