Exchange Server Journal mailbox database with DAG ?

Hi People,

I've got the existing Exchange Server 2013 Standard SP1 on Win 2008 R2 that I'm about to decommission today.

The problem is that I realize, there is one big mailbox called Journal mailbox DB.

I have already migrated all mailboxes to 5 different mailbox DB in the new Exchange Server 2013 SP1 Standard running on Win 2012 R2.
Except for the journal mailbox, so do I create one more drive on the new Mailbox DB called J: drive for the journal in the new Exchange server to replicate it to another DAG node ?

If not what'sthe steps for migrating off the journal mailbox DB to anohter server with no downtime to email flow ?

Hi Pradip,

This is the high-level overview:

Old Server to be decom:
Windows Server 2008 R2 Std SP1
Exchange Server 2013 Standard SP1 + CU 3
PRODMBX14-VM
C:\ - OS - 200 GB
D:\ - Mailbox DB - 1989 GB This is where all mailboxes and possibly the Journal mailbox sits.
L:\ - Tx Logs - 500 GB (circular logging still enabled)

The new server to be configured as DAG in the same AD Site & Data Center:
Windows Server 2012 R2 Std
Exchange Server 2013 Standard SP1
PRODMBX20-VM
C:\ - OS - 120 GB
D:\ - PRODMBX20-VM-DB01 - 700 GB DB01 and its Tx Logs
E:\ - PRODMBX20-VM-DB02 - 700 GB DB02 and its Tx Logs
F:\ - PRODMBX20-VM-DB03 - 700 GB DB03 and its Tx Logs
G:\ - PRODMBX20-VM-DB04 - 700 GB DB04 and its Tx Logs
H:\ - PRODMBX20-VM-DB05 - 700 GB DB05 and its Tx Logs

The new server to be configured as DAG [This server is different AD sites & location from the two above]:
Windows Server 2012 R2 Std
Exchange Server 2013 Standard SP1
PRODMBX30-VM
C:\ - OS - 120 GB
D:\ - PRODMBX30-VM-DB01 - 700 GB DB01 and its Tx Logs
E:\ - PRODMBX30-VM-DB02 - 700 GB DB02 and its Tx Logs
F:\ - PRODMBX30-VM-DB03 - 700 GB DB03 and its Tx Logs
G:\ - PRODMBX30-VM-DB04 - 700 GB DB04 and its Tx Logs
H:\ - PRODMBX30-VM-DB05 - 700 GB DB05 and its Tx Logs

So if I want to migrate the Journal mailbox from PRODMBX14-VM to PRODMBX20-VM before I configure the DAG, what's the steps ?
Note: There are 5 mailbox DB in PRODMBX20-VM already created and running.

How many  nodes are added in your DAG?
Hi Pradeep,

So far there is no DAG setup yet, but I will be configuring it sometimes this week:

The new DAG will be consisting of: PRODMBX20-VM and PRODMBX30-VM

The Journal mailbox is still running and attached on the old server to be decommissioned PRODMBX14-VM
