How do I upgrade HP SAN P4000 firmware without Internet connection?
Dear All,
We would want to upgrade the firmware for our HP Storageworks P4000. We access this through HP storageworks centralized management console version 9.0
This SAN system is not connected to Internet and it is connected to a private switch/ Network with 3 HyperV host system on a cluster.
How can we upgrade this SAN to latest firmware for
P4000 VSS provider
P4000 DSM for MPIO
P4000 CLI
Thank you for helping out with our issue.

Log on to the HP Support site, download the required firmware onto a flash drive, copy the files over to a system on the SAN network, and finally upload.

Thank you Phillip.
We would also want to know how to find the current version information from the SAN management console.
We inherited a SAN system without knowing the admin credentials for SAN system via SSH session through putty.
We only know this HP storageworks centralized management console version 9.0 access.
Our SAN system is P4500G2 running software 9.0.00.3598.0.
Also do we need to shutdown all the Virtual servers before the SAN upgrade? Do we need to be mindful of any other things before firmware upgrade?
Thank you for your support.
