how can I interface an old 80's game console system with a VIZIO flat screen television?
Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am wondering how I can interface a 1980's retro game console with a VIZIO flat screen television
(Model D32h-C1) The link to the classic or retro game is https://9gifts.net/products/400-classic-video-games-in-one for review.
Any shared input will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
George

If the box in your link can provide higher resolution, it may work. I did not see that but it might work.
To your second question, if the display is 640x480, it should look like the original. Any attempt to stretch it will lower the image quality.

Hello and Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you very much for your follow up suggestions. In addition to reviewing the new feedback within this post, I took the liberty of reviewing what customers had to say about the retro game of interest contained with the link of https://9gifts.net/products/400-classic-video-games-in-one. From what I can gather, the reviews of this game are somewhat mixed. I know what I am about to ask is subjective, but, could everyone take a look at this game and share with me your thoughts and opinions? Personally, it seems like it will be a good deal and certainly has an affordable price.

I read through it the first time and now again and cannot add more in the way of review comments. It appears it might work, but resolution, aspect ratio and colour depth will have to work with your TV to be presentable.

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,
Thank you very much for your additional information. Everything discussed so far certainly makes sense. While I understand the points brought to light within this post, I do have one concern that I am not clear on. How can I use my remote to my television to customize or scale down the screen resolution?

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,
I have been thinking about the option of playing many of the games for free online as suggested by Shaun. My two favorite classic arcade games are Donkey Kong and of course PacMan. I have Googled these games which resulted in several different links. Realizing the risk of possible malware infection, I am wondering if there is a way of differentiating the sites which are safe versus the ones which pose a risk. And, secondly, can I possibly purchase controllers which can be hooked up to a pc or laptop to help give the games the look and feel of the classics?
Thank you

The game in your link at the beginning had controllers. Otherwise you would need a very old computer.

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,
Thank you very much for addressing my concern. Personally, I found each advisor's feedback helpful because it either answered my question or added an extension to the answer.
With respect to what I will do at his point, I will simply order the game console with the pre-loaded games. My television does have the R G B connectors in addition to having the Composite setting within the menu of input options. Therefore, I will simply switch it from the default of HDMI 2 (which is the input used for my cable television) to Composite following the conclusion of the R G B hookups between the game console and the television.
On a side note, thank you for the tip regarding the R G B to HDMI convertor. While I will not be needing it, I am pleased to know of it being an option if the television did not have R G B inputs.

What about visual quality? Will the games still have the look and feel of the classic 80's games?
Thanks
