WD 4TB USB HDD not detected by Storage explorer & diskpart tho "Safely Remove Hardware" detects it
I'm not sure if the 4TB WD HDD I just got from Amazon is GPT or MBR partitioned but looks like the
driver was auto-installed Ok on my Win XP as "Safely Remove Hardware" detects it & I could 'Stop"
it from "Safely Remove Hdw".
However, using "Disk Management" & despite "Rescan Disks" & "Refresh", can't detect it.
in command prompt, Diskpart's "List disk" can't detect it too.
I have other 2TB disks which could be detected & formatted on this Win XP laptop.
How should I go about using this 4TB WD HDD?

The moment I plug this WD into a Win 7 x64 laptop, it detects it as a 4TB NTFS partition:
so I repartition it into 2 partitions & format both partitions as NTFS : works fine on the
Win 7 but when I connect this WD to the Win XP, same status as what's observed
earlier ie can't see the partitions & diskpart can't see the WD too.
I have Paragon somewhere: is it called Paragon Partition Manager? I think I have
on my XP a Partition Magic : will this help?

Thanks chaps. I'm still hunting for my Paragon PM .
Any freewares instead of this GPT Loader? I found one freeware but it is specific to the motherboard used
which is no joy for me

For a 32-bit Windows 7, would it detect it? My office Win 7 laptops are on 32-bit
but I'll need permission to get the USB port enabled (to take backups or copy files)
so don't have a chance to test it out
