or just, delete it, and insert a new object (arrow with one end) and relocate it to the existing one...
here is the steps for solution 1

also one line is inclined how to make it horizontal rather than angular?
delete line and insert the one you like

also, you can select object and Ctrl + Arrow keys to fine tune location of objects

how to add some text in the middle of the line by breaking the line saying something like below(not above not below not sure if we call this comment?)

"xyz input"

-------------------xyz input------->
insert text box on top of it
then select tex box, format shape and remove border

could you please indicate if we have answered the original question:

if so, we can answer subsequent ones...

you must admit that "any good tips with working on flow diagrams etc using ms word." is a rather open-ended question
What this have to do with SQL Server and Excel?
I've removed both topics from this question.

if i want to move 1 milli meter or 5 milli meter vertically or horizontally can i move?
when you select the line, you will see the Drawing Tools tab, click the small arrow at the bottom right of the Shape Styles options to view the Format Shape pane. This is how you add/remove a line's arrowheads:to get more precise control on adjusting line lengths, use the ZOOM control at the bottom right of the Windows

with a larger window, you can control more easily

NOTE: at the top right of the Drawing Tools tab, you can SEE the length of the line, when you select a line the length increases to the RIGHT/BOTTOM

this is how to change the units: File tab ―> Options ―> Advanced ―> scroll down to Display and select the unitsUser generated image

i think you will have the same problems - you still have to learn how to use it

have you tried just to erase the line and redrawing it? you will possibly save 'many many hours and days'

you could have mentioned previously that you do not see what we have shown in the screenshots provided in the answers above.

what version of MSOffice are you using? what version of windows?
