Intergrating Sharepoint

We have a client that needs to integrate Sharepoint into their network. How should I bring this into their network?

They currently have a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard server (DC, DNS - Single Server) and Office 365 business plan through Microsoft.

What is the best route? And why use Sharepoint instead of something else?

hi Paul. loaded questions lol.

I would go cloud and bring over only current data, leave the old stuff on the server or on a NAS and archive it.

Do these folks want desktop syncing? If so, less is more for sure! :)

Okay. I just spoke with them a little more. They would like to install on the premise. Would the best bet to install another server to the network with SharePoint?
That's difficult to answer without knowing the situation, but generally it is best to use a separate server.
