Setting up Gmail in Outlook
I have tried a couple of tutorials following step by step. It seems to create the outlook account but when I Test Accounts in the setup of outlook it just keeps asking for the password. I know the pw is correct but tested it anyhow. What am I missing???

In Email Setup, Outgoing Server, did you authenticate with your Gmail user id and password. Failure to add this could possibly cause the error you got.

I have tried both solutions and it still hangs waiting for password when Test Accounts is used.

Go into the Outlook account setup and click on change. Don't change anything but ensure the test flag is set. Press Finish and post the exact error here.
