Outlook 2010 Search Function Problems

I'm have a number of users having issues with the Outlook 2010 search function. It is very erratic and doesn't really work.

I've tried a number of suggestions online. E.g. rebuilt the email profile, ran a repair on office and recreated the Indexing but still have issues. It can say it's indexing for days on end. I did find a solution that did help which was to remove the "Use Cached Exchange Mode" option. This resolved the issue but I then received complaints that Outlook was preforming very slowing so I had to enable it again.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like you are on the right track. I would also suggest scanning the PST files for corruption as this can cause issues with indexing also.

Try running scanpst.exe on all PST files attached to the outlook profile while outlook is closed.
(for Oulook 2010 it should be: c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
Office14, or c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office/Office14)

Once complete you should go back into indexing options, select advanced and click rebuild.

It may take some time after this for the issue to resolve.

Uninstalled KB3203467 update and it's working again. Thanks for your help!
My solution was to install EXTRA updates to solve your problem. You chose the UNINSTALLING path, which puts your PC in a vulnerable spot again.
