Achieving recommended size on logo

How can I make it so logos that I create fit scale recommended by theme makers? Like 190px x 60px...is there software or something I can use rather than over and over again making a picture smaller/bigger until I get it right?

Thanks

Fo rthis sort of thing, I usualy use The Gimp. This is a FREE photo editing application. It does a lot more than cropping and scaleing, and may be a more complex solution than you need, but it will certainly do the job.

what is the size of the original image?

if you don't want to distort the image, you must resize keeping the original aspect ratio

other than GIMP, you can also use

I use SVG format (vector) logos

I convert existing image with Vector Magic. Most printer friendly logos convert well to vector
