Server 2008 Standard x64 on VMWare ESX freezing after July 2017 patch updates

Hi,

we have a VM running Exchange 2010 on Server 2008. The July updates went on this morning and over the day the VM keeps freezing - no blue screen or reboot.
We can connect to it via ESX console and its just frozen (at logon screen or with whatever we had open).
Only solution is to reboot and then it's fine again for a few hours (no set time but 4 or 5 hours at most).
Can't find anything in the event log. Server working fine and then just freezes.

VM been in place with no issues for 4 years or so.

We're pulling the updates back off it now but hoping someone else maybe seeing similar? Feels like it has to be the updates.

Not seen anything on our test suite as yet with 2008.

This is 2008, not 2008 R2 ?
