Wyse S10 not connecting to windows server 2008 R2 (Standard Ed.)

Hi,
This problem is regarding Terminal Server connectivity (Remote Desktop Connectivity as per window server 2008). We have
following working scenario :

Architecture : Client-Server
Server : Dell T430 PowerEdge
Server OS : Windows Server 2008 R2(Standard Edition)
Terminals : Wyse S10 thin clients firmware version 6.1.0_08, 6.5.0_22 and 6.5.0_40

Recently we've shifted to a new server DELL PowerEdge T430 from DELL PowerEdge 2900. The thin clients used to connect

successfully to the old one. After the shifting process, the thin clients worked fine for about 1.5 months but suddenly today

afternoon they stopped connecting to the server all of a sudden.

Not able to figure out as to what exactly stopped the working terminals.

Thanks.

Have you checked Remote Desktop Licensing?  Check the event viewer on the server for errors.

Thanks for the reply. I've already issued few licenses (Per Device Cals) but no result.
Did you check the event viewer on the RDS server?  Try connecting with the S10 and after it fails check the event viewer, It should show and error. Also make sure the Windows Firewall is setup  correctly. Or temporarily disable it and test. Same goes for any Antivirus products.

The RDS server is nonreactive to the connection trial of the S10. No relevant events logged in the Event Viewer. The Windows firewall setup and antivirus have been disabled completely. Still the S10 fails to connect.
Can you go into administrative mode on the S10 and perform some troubleshooting? Perform a ping  tot he RDS server. Telnet to port 3389 (or whatever port RDS is set to )  to see if connects.

Also is there another server you can test on? Can the S10 connect to another server via RDP?

Have you tried to restart the server? Any antivirus / Internet security software installed on the server?

Eric, thanks for the suggestions. I tried to ping the server through the client but in vain. Yes, the S10 are able to connect to another server (Old one).  Following are the details of the server :

Server : Dell PowerEdge 2900
Server OS : Windows Server 2003

Actually our old server is still functional and the S10 are successfully able to connect to it as they used to earlier.

Jackie, thanks your reply, restarted server several times after trying various settings of antivirus/internet security s/w s but no result.

Thanks.
Have you tried to uninstall the antivirus software and reset TCP/IP of your server?

We've disabled the antivirus software. It is noteworthy here that when we try to connect the terminals to our old server they do it without any problem.

Thanks for the reply Jackie, I shall remove the anti virus and try connecting.

Thanks Jackie ! that worked like a charm. Truly "disabled the anti-virus" did not have the same effect as "uninstall the anti-virus".
Thanks for your feedback!

Just a side note.

Rmember to reinstall the antivirus/Internet security software and there should be a prompt for you to trust the RDP incoming connection.

Besides, do not install two antivirus / Internet security software with real-time scanning capability in the same server.
